Approach
Each project is approached as a connected whole rather than a series of individual spaces.
Stone, timber, lighting, cabinetry, flooring, and finishes are carefully considered together to create interiors that feel balanced, intentional, and enduring.
The studio’s aesthetic is grounded in restraint, warmth, texture, and timeless materiality rather than trend-driven design.
Design Philosophy
Good interior design should feel calm, resolved, and highly considered.
It is shaped not only by how a space looks, but by how materials interact, how light moves through a room, and how each element contributes to the overall atmosphere of the home.
MotzDESIGNS focuses on creating interiors that feel cohesive and liveable while maintaining a refined and enduring quality.
Experience & Background
Melissa’s experience combines interior design with extensive hands-on exposure to renovation, fabrication, and construction collaboration.
Working closely alongside specialist trades and within a workshop environment has developed a strong understanding of how custom interior elements, including staircases, doors, windows, and joinery are detailed and constructed in practice.
This practical knowledge informs the design process and supports the creation of interiors that are both thoughtfully designed and achievable in execution.
